SUNDAY MAY 3

10:00AM – 1:00PM Farmers Market Opening Day at Edgewood Park (West Rock/Whalley)

  • Celebrate the FIRST Cityseed Farmers Market of the season! Join us in the park for fun and merriment AND local food! Be sure and grab an ARTWALK POSTCARD to fill up at all the activities you attend throughout the week!
  • ARTWALK POSTCARD EVENT Pick up your postcard and collect stamps throughout the festival. Collect 9 Stamps/stickers to win!
MONDAY MAY 4

5:00PM – 7:00PM Artwalk Kickoff at Mitchell Library Branch, 37 Harrison St.

  • Join us at our neighborhood NHFPL branch for paper quilting crafts, face painting & caricature drawing, dancing with DJ Dana Game, with quilts by Susi Ryan on view in the program room + ending with a community pizza party on the lawn (Pizza served at 6pm!)
TUESDAY MAY 5

7:00PM- 10:00PM Open Mic Night at Lotta Studio, 903 Whalley Ave.

  • Hosted by Lotta Studio + Me and the Other Moms + Mila Volpe + Eric Epstein Productions
  • This is a celebration of our creative community so we are looking to blend eras, genres, and class as we focus on supporting the artists that sustain our cultural evolution. We welcome originals or covers from performing artists who are looking to share, express, educate, and entertain in a positive and healthy manner.

7:00PM – 9:00PM A Broken Umbrella Theatre: Community Creation Session at Coogan Pavilion, 740 Whalley Avenue

  • Brainstorm through play and research for the ensemble’s next original play, inspired by revolutionary New Haven’s historical and radical spirit!

  • A community crafting event open to all where guests will be making a mini junk journal to record their adventures at this year’s ArtWalk! A junk journal is made with mostly a mix of found and recycled materials. Materials provided, feel free to bring your own collection of “junk” to personalize your own experience!

  • 6-Square Jam is an art exhibit of all 6×6 pieces created by anyone willing to submit. All pieces are $20, and all money made will be donated to The Westville Village Renaissance Alliance for continued arts and cultural programming in Westville.

3:15PM – 4:30PM New Haven Chinese Cultural Cooperative at Edgewood Park Stage, West Rock/Whalley

  • New Haven Chinese Cultural Cooperative comprises members from diverse backgrounds and ages, all sharing a passion for expressing their voices, expertise, and stories through the performance of traditional Chinese and Taiwanese music.

7:00PM A Broken Umbrella Theatre presents The Regicides at Coogan Pavilion, 740 Whalley Ave.

  • 7:00PM Up on the Downbeat Band local New Haven funk band opens in conjunction with our beer cart (21+ to drink!) with generous support from NEBCO and Black Hog Brewing
