FRIDAY MAY 8

• ARTWALK POSTCARD EVENT Pick up your postcard and collect stamps throughout the festival. Collect 9 Stamps/stickers to win!

12:00PM – 7:00PM 6-Square Jam Art Exhibition & Sale at Kehler Liddell Gallery, 873 Whalley Ave.

• 6-Square Jam, our community art exhibit. All 6×6 works of art will be on view and ready for sale!

5:00PM – 8:00PM Open Studios ALL over Westville

• Juanita Sunday‘s Where We Return, A Portal Home at West River Arts, 909 Whalley Ave.
• Steve DiGiovanni‘s Experiments and Non-sequiturs at DaSilva Gallery, 899 Whalley Ave.

6:00PM – 10:00PM ArtWalk Neighborhood Block Party! at Central Patio, 882 Whalley Ave.

• Come grab a bagel and find out about what is going on with A Broken Umbrella Theatre, open house style!

11:00AM Pet Parade at Edgewood Park, West Rock/Whalley Ave.

• Friendly pets of all shapes, sizes and breeds are welcome to walk in our annual pet parade. Everyone gets a ribbon and a shout out!

• Open Studios Frank Bruckmann &  Gar Waterman , with porch musician Matthew Burke. Muffy’s legendary Spin art Bike. Circus Wonder Zoe Brookes with a wagon full of circus toys & community art led activities; Draw Together Strangers and more!

  • MEW Market features local artisans who craft cat-themed jewelry, paintings, plushes, home decor, pottery, and more.

12:00PM – 2:00PM 

• Curate/Create at Elm City Sounds, 24 Fountain St.
  • Live beat-making workshop with Patrick Rivers and Elm City Sounds. Buy some vinyl and step outside to make a sample. Do it live!

• CTJunkJournal at ThirdSpace, 410 Blake St.
  • A community crafting event open to all where guests will be making a mini junk journal to record their adventures at this year’s ArtWalk! A junk journal is made with mostly a mix of found and recycled materials. Materials provided, feel free to bring your own collection of “junk” to personalize your own experience!

12:00PM – 5:00PM 6-Square Jam Art Exhibition & Sale at Kehler Liddell Gallery, 873 Whalley Ave.

• 6-Square Jam is an art exhibit of all 6×6 pieces created by anyone willing to submit. All pieces are $20, and all money made will be donated to The Westville Village Renaissance Alliance for continued arts and cultural programming in Westville.

2:00PM – 7:00PM Delaney’s Tap Room Stage outside at Delaney’s, 883 Whalley Ave.

• Enjoy some music outside with food and drink specials.

3:00PM Rubber Duckie Race at the West River Bridge near the Pickleball Courts

• An annual event worthy of all the hype. Purchase you ducks to run in the race all week. Winner wins year-long-bragging-rights.

7:00PM A Broken Umbrella Theatre presents The Regicides at Coogan Pavilion, 740 Whalley Ave.

• 7:00PM Up on the Downbeat Band local New Haven funk band opens in conjunction with our beer cart (21+ to drink!) with generous support from NEBCO and Black Hog Brewing
• 8:00PM The Regicides Perform. Come check us out! We’re Funny. A Broken Umbrella Theatre presents New Haven’s longest running Improv Troupe THE REGICIDES performing ONE SHOW ONLY for ArtWalk.
